Hi, I am new here and just wanted to make sure I understand what a "mental kin" is. Are those people who think that they think that they're kin? I'm not sure I get it  . So...they weren't born the wrong thing, they aren't spiritually transitioning or shifting, they aren't reincarnated from another species, they don't have some kind of species dysphoria, they aren't another creature "world-walking" ie: experiencing other worlds/lives within their present lifetime somewhere else, etc, they're just...mentally wired like animals or other beings despite being humans? Brains are weird so I guess that's possible, but it's hard for me to understand how a brain could just wolf-ify without any spiritual reason. Granted, I haven't given this much thought and I might be able to come up with something if I do. This is the first I've heard of "mental kin" although I have encountered a lot of people who will insist on these dragon/elf/demon lord identities while claiming this is 100% neural-generated which confuses me greatly. A lot of kin identities that I'm aware of rely on some sort of memories or some kind of actual experience that makes you that thing, right? |
